Watchy Privacy Policy

Watchy ("the app") helps you track which movies and TV shows are available on your streaming services. This page explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how you can request that it be deleted.

Information We Collect

• Email address — used to create and sign in to your account.
• Streaming services you select — used to check title availability against the services you actually subscribe to.
• Titles you add to your watchlist — the movies and TV shows you choose to track.
• Push notification token — a device identifier used to deliver notifications when a title becomes available, if you have notifications enabled.

We do not collect your name, payment information, or location.

How We Use This Information

Your data is used solely to operate the app: matching your watchlist against your selected streaming services, and notifying you when something becomes available. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Third-Party Services

Watchy relies on the following third-party services to function:

• Google Firebase — handles account sign-in, data storage, and push notification delivery.
• The Movie Database (TMDB) — supplies movie/TV metadata and streaming availability information. No personal or account information is sent to TMDB; only title lookups.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). You can also email us at the address below to request deletion.

Children's Privacy

Watchy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised date above.
